This week by far, was one of the most tired week I had. Let's see. Monday I was busy running errands. Tuesday class till 4pm and at night I was rushing my Land Law assignment. Wednesday was spent in Puchong Clinic. Thursday was class till 5pm and rushing Family Law. Friday, well I returned home lugging a huge box of my old stuff and I practically fainted on my bed till 7.30pm. Woke up with the worst feeling ever and embracing a lion mane. Yes! This is the part 2. You must be thinking I have nothing better to do but to drink bubble teas, well... I am a self-proclaimed addict so you all are benefiting from need not wasting the unnecessary money on bad drinks. See I so sayang my readers. Anyway, read part 1 if you haven't. It's highly related. I'm gonna bring another contender (this time Japanese) into this competition:
Ochado
As today I finish class about 1pm, I reckon I'll just stop by Sephora to grab my dry shampoo and just enjoy a little self-pampering. I told myself only one hour in Fahrenheit 88, but after a little shopping, and on my way to the auto pay station, I realised I have passed the 1 hour mark by a minute. So I was thinking, what the heck, why pay the additional RM1 for that one measly minute. So I walked to Pavilion. A little sound inside of me told me to try Ochado. I was like okay la okay la... since I had my breakfast at 9.30am and practically no lunch, Ochado will be my lunch (if you count the calories). You can find Ochado at Level 6 Pavilion at the Tokyo Street. There was just a very short queue as compared to Chatime. Usually at Chatime Pavilion, I have to wait for at least 20 more numbers then it would be my turn. Usually I would try something out of the norm but this time, I sampled their Roasted Pearl Milk Tea with 25% sugar. I hereby claim 25% sugar is the best amount for me in any bubble tea. Anyone buying for me, it's 25% sugar okay!!!
My say: (I'm sorry I didn't have any pictures. I don't own a camera and I could have probably snapped a crappy picture with my BB but I was too busy drinking and BBMing!) Their pearls are relatively smaller than Chatime's or any others and yet have the same tangy feeling. But I couldn't taste any milk in it. The tea was pretty fragrant. The price and size is comparable to Chatime as well.
Now for the FINAL OUTCOME:
1) If you love tea based bubble teas, go for Gong Cha. It is still much fragrant and the white pearls give a new twist to it. I tried both the winter melon tea from Gong Cha and Chatime and foamy layer from Gong Cha gave the bubble tea a slight savoury taste, making it less sweet.
2) If you love milk based bubble teas, it's going to be Chatime. The pearl is the best and they give you a really good amount! Just remember to adjust the sugar level.
Love me yet? Go and grab a cup of your favourite bubble tea today!! Damn, feel like having Gong Cha! Any deliveries?
